■ The half mask may not be used against carbon oxide gases (CO).
■ The half mask may not be used when the type and properties of the
pollutants are not known or when the pollutants pose a direct hazard to
life and health.
■ The half mask with an activated carbon adsorber may not be used in
workspaces where there is a risk of flying sparks or open fire.
■ Before using the half mask, it must be ensured that the air sucked in
by the compressor is free of harmful gases, vapours and particles and
meets the requirements according to DIN EN 12021.
■ To remove impurities in the breathing air that must stem from the
compressor, an additional SATA filter 444 with pressure gauge [10]
must be mounted between the activated carbon filter and the belt unit or
between the SATA filter 464 [9] and the air network.
General
■ The half mask may not be used by people with beards or side-burns in
the vicinity of the sealing line.
■ Comply with the local regulations on safety, occupational health & safe-
ty and environmental protection.
■ Heed the accident prevention regulations.
3. Use
Intended Use
The half mask acts as a highly effective health protection for painters
against organic gases and vapours (boiling point > 65 °C) and / or dusts,
e.g. solvent fumes, paint mists and sander dust.
Incorrect use
The half mask is not intended for use in ambient atmospheres subject to
radiation or heat.
4. Description
The ventilated half mask serves to supply the wearer with clean breathing
air and consists of the main components:

connection and flow rate indicator
