Electrical installation
1.5.1
General
DANGER
Turn o electrical power before servicing.
Contact with live electric components can cause shock or death.
All electrical wiring must be in accordance with requirements of authority having jurisdiction.
Power requirements for the system depends on the fan size. Electrical requirements are:

Fan and motor speci cations are provided on the fan's type plate.
The exodraft chimney fans have a split capacitor motor with variable speed. the capacitor is situated in the external
box, which also include the repair switch.
The minimum speed will have to be adjusted individually depends on type of control, fan size and chimney
NOTICE
If any of the original wiring supplied with the system needs to be replaced, use similar wire of the
same temperature rating. Otherwise, the insulation may melt or degrade, exposing bare
wire, and danger to life.
1.5.2
Wiring
Wires are to be connected as per the wiring diagram. For further details for connecting a control, please see guidelines
for the exodraft control units.
Any lightning conductor connected to the fan must conform to current applicable legislation.

All wiring is done at delivery except for the power supply from the mains or exodraft control
For fastening the wires to the terminals use a slotted screwdriver, max. 3 mm wide. Push it hard, straight down into the
marked slot to release the terminal. The wire can now be pushed into the terminal and by releasing the screwdriver
again the wire is secured.
Connect:
L1 from supply to terminal L1
N from supply to terminal N
PE from supply to terminal PE
Max. 3 mm
