Prior to maintenance
In order to open the fan:
y
Remove the lower nut at position 1 and turn the
handles.
y
Remove the locking pin from the back of the fan.
y
The nut must be re tted when the fan is closed.
Can be omitted if local laws allow this.

Problem
– The circuit breaker may be

– The fan speed control's low
voltage setting is too low
– The fan speed control is bad
– The motor run capacitor may
be faulty.
– Soot may stick
– The fan may be undersized
– The motor shaft may be bent – Replace motor
– The ue is undersized.
– The fan is oversized and run-
ning too fast
– Soot or tar may impair the
fans axial vane
– Motor bearings may be worn
out

Too secure the fan in open position place the lock pin (2)
in the bracket again.

Solution
– Check the circuit breaker
– Turn fan speed control on
– Check and correct problem
– Check and correct problems with connections. Pay spe-
cial attention to the wiring in the junction box
– Increase the setting
– Replace the fan speed control
– Check capacitor and replace if necessary
– Clean fan
– Replace with a larger fan
– There is not much to do about it. Try to reduce the re-
place opening
– Reduce the fan speed
– Clean the axial vane
– Replace bearings
