Filling with fuel
Remove the cover (19) from the fuel
tank and fill with fuel (a mix of suitable
two-stroke oil and lead-free petrol at a
ratio of 1:40).
Replace the cover and check that it is
tightly sealed.
Filling the chain oil
Remove the cover (21) for the chain
oil tank and fill with fresh chain oil.
Replace the cover and check that it is
tightly sealed.
CHAIN BRAKE
The chainsaw is equipped with an auto-
matic chain brake that stops the chain
rotation if the chainsaw kicks back.
The chain brake can also be activated
manually by pushing the protective
shield (1) forward towards the blade.
If the chain brake is activated while us-
ing the chainsaw, you should immedi-
ately release the throttle, as the coupling
may otherwise be damaged.
Check the chain brake before each use!
Checking the chain brake
With the engine stopped:
Push the protective shield backwards
towards the saw to switch the chain
brake off. You will hear a click when the
protective shield moves between the
open and locked position.
Allow the blade to touch a root or
branch.
The protective shield moves forward
and activates the chain brake. The
amount of power required to activate
the chain brake depends on the length
of the blade.
With the engine started:
Allow the engine to run at maximum
speed for 1-2 seconds.
Push the protective shield forward with
your left hand. The chain will stop im-
mediately. Release the throttle.
If the chain does not stop immediately
or does not stop completely when the
chain brake is activated, the chainsaw
must be inspected by a qualified repair
engineer.
Important!
The chain brake is DEACTIVATED (the
chain can move) when the BRAKE LE-
VER IS PULLED BACK AND LOCKED.
The chain brake is ACTIVATED (the
chain is blocked) when the brake lever
is tilted forward. You should then not
be able to move the chain.
