Line Priority
Under this menu item, you define the transmission paths to be used for
alarm transmission. One of the following options can be set:
GCM Only (default)
Alarm messages are only sent over the GSM cellular network.
PSTN first
The device first tries to transmit the alarm messages via the analog
telephone network (if the PSTN module is installed). If it is not possible to
transmit them in this way due to a malfunction of the connected telephone
line, the device attempts to transmit the alarm message via the GSM cellular
network.
Caution!
If the telephone line connected to the device is in order (e.g. the
level of the supply voltage is within the normal range) but no
connection can be established, the device does not switch to
GSM. This can happen if the device is connected to an extension
of a private branch exchange, and this extension has no exchange
authorization, or if the connection of the private branch exchange
to the public telephone network is not functioning correctly.
GSM first
The device first attempts to send alarm messages over the GSM cellular
network. If no transmission is possible here because of a poor GSM signal,
the device attempts to transmit the alarm message via the analog telephone
network.
PSTN Only
Alarm messages are transmitted over the analog telephone line (if the PSTN
module is installed).
