1. General information
Thank you for choosing a quality product when buying a safe.
Please read these instructions carefully before putting your safe into operation, and keep the instructions in
a secure place outside the safe!
Scope of these instructions:
FOX wall safe with electronic lock
There are no suggested insurance sums for the safe. If you still wish to insure the contents of your safe, please clarify
the cover with your insurance company.
1.1 Scope of delivery
Please check the complete scope of delivery before putting your safe into operation.
Alkaline battery type AA (4 ×)
Emergency opening key (2 ×)
Cover emergency opening lock for keypad (1 ×)
Anchoring material (2 × dowel, screw, washer)

1.2 Limitation of liability/invalidation of warranty
After unpacking, check the safe for proper functioning and for possible transport damage. If you find any damage,
please contact your dealer.
The warranty expires as a result of improper installation, consequential damage after attempted break-ins, fires, as well
as improper interventions in the construction and function of the safe.
FORMAT Tresorbau GmbH & Co. KG is not liable for malfunctions caused by the penetration of condensation water, using
force or improper handling, nor for property damage or financial losses that are due, for example, to improper locking of
the safe. In case of malfunctions, repairs may only be carried out by companies authorised by the manufacturer.
2. Safety instructions

Before using for the first time (opening the safe door), please make absolutely sure that the wall safe (before it is
set in concrete) can be top-heavy. Before opening the wall safe for the first time, it must therefore be secured
against tipping.

When closing the safe door, make absolutely sure that there no parts of the body are between the safe door and
the safe body. Otherwise there is a risk of crushing of trapped limbs.
•
Before closing the safe door, make sure that the locking bolts in the safe door are retracted. Extended locking bolts
will hit the safe body when the door is closed, damaging the locking mechanism and causing a malfunction.
•
Keep the numerical code for the electronic lock and the emergency opening key in a safe place outside
the cabinet! Change the factory code to your personal numerical code, but do not use personal or simple
numerical combinations!

There is a danger of suffocation from packaging and protective films. Keep packaging and protective films away from
children.
