Transporting the wheelchair without occupant
The wheelchair can be folded as described in the
wheelchair manual. There are a number of extra at-
tention points regarding the push support.
Warning:
•
NEVER put the wheelchair in neutral during
transport in a taxi.
•
Do not confuse neutral with the parking brake.
The parking brake is automatically activated
when the push support is switched off .
•
The automatic parking brake does NOT work
if neutral is engaged.
Be careful:
•
Only lift the wheelchair using fixed frame
components and not removable accessories
such as armrests, legrests seating, back
support etc.
•
Never remove the push handles as this will
damage the cabling.
•
Ensure that the control unit and control lever
remain free during transportation. These can
become damaged if they are knocked or
wedged.
Attention:
•
Switch off the push support while transporting
the wheelchair without occupant.
•
The Aura push support makes the wheelchair's
basic section 24 kg heavier than the standard
wheelchair. With push support, the basic
section therefore weighs approximately 60 kg.

Transporting the wheelchair with occupant
The Canto Nxt with Aura push support is a 'crash-test
safe wheelchair'. Thus the Canto Nxt with Aura push
support can thus be transported as wheelchair with
occupant in a minibus (see the indication sticker on
the wheelchair).

Storage
The wheelchair can be folded and stored as described
in the wheelchair manual. There are a number of extra
attention points regarding storing the Aura push
support.

* For long-term storage with battery:

** In extreme temperatures, the bat-
tery must be charged monthly.
Transport & storage
Transportation with occupant is only permitted
if the wheelchair is provided with a crash-test
safe sticker.
Switch off the Aura push support while
transporting the wheelchair with occupant.
The wheelchair must be stored dry. The
humidity may be no more than 80%. Fur-
thermore, temperature variations should not
cause, for example, condensation to appear
on the wheelchair.
Environmental temperature on storage:
-10 to +60°C.
Environmental temperature on storage if the
battery is connected to the charger:
+10 to +40°C*.
The battery needs to be fully charged at least
once in every 3 months, even if the wheelchair
is not used.**
