Switching the parking brakes on and off
1. Push the black free-wheel lever downwards on
both wheels.
The parking brakes are now switched off.
Attention: If the parking brakes are switched off
via the free-wheel levers, the push support can
no longer be used. When these are switched on,
the battery indicator will display nine fast-flashing
lamps.
2. Push the black free-wheel lever upwards on both
wheels in order to re-activate the parking brake.
3. Briefly turn off the Aura push support and turn it
on once more to use it.
Slopes
The Aura push support makes it significantly easier to
drive up and down slopes. However, there are a number
of points that need extra attention on slopes.
Attention:
Avoid slopes with a gradient greater than 7°.
When going down a slope, always keep your
speed under control.
The Aura push support uses much more elec-
tricity going up a slope than on a flat surface.
This can considerably reduce the operating
range. Pay attention to the battery indicator
in order to prevent unexpected stoppages.
If it is necessary to brake on a slope by switching
off the free-wheel levers, then ensure that
you are certain that the wheelchair cannot roll
down the slope. See also 'Driving without push
support'.

Warning:
Always switch off the push support
when the occupant gets in or out.
Checking the battery
The control panel is provided with an LED
battery indicator, with which you can check
the amount of charge left in the battery. If
all indicator lamps are lit, the battery is fully
charged.
Attention:
If only the bottom three (red) lamps are
lit, the battery needs to be charged as
soon as possible to prevent that the
push support is disabled because of
an empty battery.
If the charge is less than 10%, the
last lamp will start to flash and the
wheelchair's maximum speed will be
limited.
Recharging the battery
Attention:
During charging you cannot use the
push support.
Only charge the battery at ambient
temperatures from +10 to +40 ° C *.
If the ambient temperature is lower
than -10°C or higher than 60°C, the
battery will have a shorter service life
and will need to be charged more
often.
The battery needs to be fully charged
at least once in every 3 months, even
if the wheelchair is not used.
