• By conducting practical tests, you can now determine the point of the rudder horn at which the you must attach the
drive control linkage to achieve the best possible switching of the contacts for forward and backward driving. While
you do this, the EPA values should be approximately between 100 and 120%. When you are finished, you can
change it for fine-tuning.
• Our tip:
To adjust the drive control, simply connect a 12 V light bulb instead of the motor. This allows you to immediately
recognise whether the control switches or not. During this process, the model remains safely on the workbench. To
check the running direction, set the model on a suitable base so that the wheels can spin freely without touching the
ground.
c) Operation during driving
Besides the operating elements for the drive and steering function, you can also operate the trim for both functions
with the trim buttons "DT 1" and "DT 2" during operation.
To be able to react quickly to changing situations during driving, you also have the possibility to reduce the steering
effect with the dual-rate function or increase the reduced steering effect again.
Attention!
If the dual-rate values of the drive function are reduced, e.g. to limit the top speed for a beginner, the
brake effect is reduced accordingly.
In this case it would be better to reduce the EPA value for full throttle, as this does not affect the brake
effect.
