Progress indicator
While reading, the Vocatex displays a progress indicator. This is a bar which is shown at the bottom of the screen
and indicates the progress in the text.
Procedure with column selector
1.
Put the text on the sliding table beneath the Vocatex.
2.
The text now becomes visible on the screen.
3.
Select a text block by placing the text block in the middle of the screen or by crossing the text block by
the column selector.
4.
Press button 7 to start the read aloud function.

Pause
Reading aloud is initiated by pressing button 7. To pause, press button 7 or 8. To resume reading, press
button 7 or 8.
Pressing button 7 will always initiate a new OCR process which will take longer. Pressing button 8 will
immediately start and pause the text without initiating a new OCR process. We recommend to use button 8
while using the news ticker.
Continuous reading
The Vocatex reads continuously. When you move further into the text, the Vocatex will continue reading
without interruption. The reading frame disappears when moving but will reappear when the new position is
found.
Reading full image
The Vocatex can read a full image by pressing both navigation buttons (button 10 and 11) at the same time. The
Vocatex will read the full image without column recognition. This features simplifies reading invoices, bank receipts
and tables.
