A new product can often be recognised by its specifi c intrinsic smell.
Tests have shown that there is absolutely no associated risk and that
the smell fades after a short period of time. hülsta base frames are
manufactured in accordance with DIN/EN 1334 (Dimensions and
tolerances for beds and mattresses). Tolerance in comparison to
nominal dimension: Width +/- 20mm, length – 10/-40 mm..

2. hülsta motor-driven base frame functions
We have done everything possible to manufacture a high-quality and
multi-functional motor-driven base frame. Enjoy using it.
Please carefully read these assembly instructions before starting
any work on the device, especially before start-up. The manufacturer
accepts no liability for damage and malfunctions resulting from failure
to observe the installation instructions.
The lying comfort on a base frame mainly depends upon the mattress.
The motorised adjustment possibilities ensure perfect comfort –
comfortable sitting and relaxing at any time. Wellness at home
2.1 Instructions for insertion into a bed
Ideally, a motor-driven hülsta base frame is supported by the entire
outer fi llet within the bed. A 4-point support of the frame is insuffi cient
and can lead to noises from the bed and frame. As a minimum, the
frame must be supported near the ends of the frame as well as in the
centre (6-point support).
Overall, the bed must be sturdy enough to support the weight of the
motor-driven BOXSPRING, the weight of the user plus additional
dynamic loads (compliance with DIN EN 1725). Specifi c individual
sub-frame solutions may only be used upon prior agreement and
acceptance by hülsta. In case of infringement, any warranty and
liability claims will be null and void. After inserting the motor-driven
base frame into the bed, the power plug must be fully accessible in
order to ensure that it can be quickly removed in case of a problem.
The power cable must also remain unobstructed at all times, i.e. no
object must be placed on the cable and the cable must not be pinched
or be in danger of being pinched. The motor-driven base frame must
be completely protected from moisture and must not be exposed to
direct sunlight for long periods.
2.2 Adjustable sections
Your hülsta motor-driven base frame allows separate adjustment of
the head/back and/or leg section (using 2 motors) (Fig.1).Using the
back section adjustment, fi rst the back, then the head section is lifted.
Each section can be individually adjusted. For sitting and relaxing, or
to provide back relief if required, the lower calf section bends in the
knee area. This provides ergonomic support of the knee joint as well
as heel relief.
