REMOTE CONTROL UNIT OPERATION
@ TUNER keys
TUNER:
When this key is pressed, the amplifier is set to TUNER input.
STATION/TUNING keys:
The stations memorized in the STATION number switches can be
recalled as follows:

To call the next higher STATION number.
To call the next lower STATION number.
Up/down tuning:
First press the SHIFT key, then press the "+" or " — " key.
BAND:
This key is used to select the band of the desired station. The
bands change alternately each time the switch is pressed.

@ Recording keys
REC @:
Press with SHIFT key to RECORD.
CD SYNCHRO:
Press with SHIFT key to CD synchro record.
¢ The CD DIRECT RECORDING switch of the amplifer is set to
ON.
¢ The tape deck starts recording.
¢ The CD player starts playback.
@ CD keys
>> (Play):
Begins playback. (The amplifier switches to CD input.)
(0 (Pause):
Press to temporarily pause playback.
[3 (Stop):
Press to stop playback.
@ (DISC NUMBER):
Used to select one of the disc numbers (1 — 6) for playback. Use
this key for a Pioneer CD player with a magazine system.
NOTE:
Note that the DISC number key on the accessory remote control
unit may not function, depending on the CD player used.
bP (Track search ):
When pressed once, the laser pickup advanced to the beginning of
the next track; when pressed continuously, the pickup advances to
further tracks.
K<q (Track search):
When pressed once, the laser pickup returns to the beginning of
the currently playing track; when pressed continuously, it returns to
earlier tracks.
Functions used in combination with the SHIFT key
Be sure to press the SHIFT key first and keep it pressed while operating other keys.
SHIFT|+|REC
@ |: To start to recording on tape.
SHIFT} +|CD SYNCHRO]:
To start CD synchro recording.
SHIFT] +|STATION/TUNING +]: Manual tuning up.
SHIFT] +(STATION/TUNING —]: Manual tuning down.
SHIFT] +|BAND]: Selection of MPX (MONO/STEREO) mode.
Refer to each instruction manual for operation of the tuner, turntable, tape deck, CD player and graphic
equalizer.
