Selecting the LEFT or RIGHT plate only, you can switch the individual plate
off by turning the TEMPERATURE button to below 80°C / by turning the
TEMPERATURE button all the way counter clockwise. This can only be done
before you start cooking.

The setting dial allows you to select between manual and less smoke modes.
Less smoke mode includes optimal pre-sets for beef, poultry, fish and pork.

The SEAR button allows you to sear foods at 260°C for up to 5 minutes. Each
side of the control panel has its own sear function. You can choose to sear
each side independently.

When you have selected the desired settings, press START/STOP and you will
see PREHEAT appear in the LCD screen and bars running from left to right.
•
Once it's done preheating, it will beep three times and the PREHEAT disappears
and the minutes will start blinking.
•
Press START/STOP to start the timer counting down and add your food to
the plate(s).
•
The time setting in minutes will now blink and countdown to zero. The six
bars below the minutes are an indication of the seconds (each bar equals
10 seconds).

To stop cooking, press START/STOP button to switch the appliance off.
•
To prolong the life of your plates' ceramic non-stick coating we recommend
using plastic, silicone, or wooden utensils.
•
Never leave plastic utensils in contact with the hot plates.
•
Between meals, remove any residue with a paper towel before starting your
next meal.
•
Before each use pour some oil on the plates. We recommend using oil suitable
for baking and frying (i.e. oils with a high smoke point). Check the label of
your oil to make sure it's suitable for cooking. Do not use any type of oil sprays,
including aerosols, mist, and pump sprays.
•
Always clean your plates after each use.
NOTE: Default timer and temperature will appear on the LCD display. The
modifications made to the menus regarding time and temperature persist as long
as the appliance remains connected to the power source. However, once the power
cord is unplugged, the time and temperature settings revert back to the default
factory values.
NOTE: To change the temperature between Celsius: °C and Fahrenheit: °F, press
and hold the START|STOP button and SEAR button simultaneously for 6 seconds.
