Backflow preventer maintenance
Close the shut-off valve.
Vent the backflow preventer (see figure with lever position 1). If no flowing noises occur after the venting, maintenance
work must be carried out on the backflow preventer. Carry out maintenance on the backflow preventer as follows:
Swivel the one-handed closure to the "OPEN" position.
Open the pump locking lever.
Turn the lock 90°.
Remove the backflow preventer.
Remove blockages and/or blocking objects.
Clean the backflow preventer in the water bath.
After the maintenance work, assemble the backflow preventer in the reverse order.
Swivel the one-handed closure to the „CLOSED" position.
The shut-off valve must be replaced if it is difficult to close or open, even after it has been actuated several times.
