6. Safety instructions
Danger!
If these points are not heeded, property, life and health are
endangered.
!
Operate the alarm unit with 12 V DC only! Use a mains socket close to
the device and ensure that you can access the socket easily. The mains
supply must be 230 V, 50 Hz, fitted with a suitable fuse or cut-out
device and comply with the applicable regulations. Otherwise there is a
risk to life and limb!
!
Do not leave small children unsupervised with the appliance, batteries,
packing material or small parts. Otherwise there is a risk of fatal injury
due to choking.
!
Make sure that the alarm sound is not triggered when someone is in its
direct vicinity Otherwise there is a risk of severe hearing damage!
!
Do not damage any cables or pipes for gas, electricity, water or telecoms

when you are drilling or mounting the device! Otherwise there is a risk to
life and limb!
!
Handle the mains adapter cable carefully! Place all cables in such a
position that they cannot be damaged or become a trip hazard.
Otherwise there is a risk to life and limb!
!
Do not allow the device to come into contact with moisture! Otherwise
there is a risk to life and limb!
!
Make sure that the batteries are not short-circuited, nor thrown into fire.
They must also not be recharged or opened. There is a danger of fatal
injury due to explosion.
!
Leaking or damaged batteries can cause burning upon contact with the
skin. Where this is the case use suitable protective gloves.
!
Do not connect any damaged device (e.g. transport damage) and
unplug the mains adapter from the mains socket immediately in the
case of damage. Arrange for the damage to be repaired immediately by
a specialist.
!
Protect the product against strong magnetic or electrical fields and
against strong mechanical loads and vibrations!
!
Use only the recommended battery types.
!
Use only new batteries and do not mix batteries.
!
Remove old or used batteries from the device.
!
If the unit is to be unused for a longer period disconnect the mains
adapter from the mains supply and remove the batteries.

. Commissioning
!
Prise open the battery compartment cover [19] from the lower edge of
the remote control [14].
!
Place the supplied CR 2032 battery [20] in the battery compartment
[21] so that the "+" symbol is visible.
!
Replace the battery compartment lid onto the remote control.
!
If required, batteries can be installed in the main unit in order to keep
the unit operational should the mains adapter power supply be
interupted.
!
Remove the three screws [12] with a suitable screwdriver.
!
Remove the battery compartment cover [13] from the main unit.
!
Place 8x suitable AA batteries in the battery compartment, paying
attention to the polarity (see Fig. B).
!
Replace the battery compartment cover.
!
Plug the DC-plug of the mains adapter [25] into the mains adapter
connection [11] of the main unit.
!
Connect the mains adapter to a suitable mains power outlet.

. Location
T
he microwave sensor detects mainly towards the rear side of the main unit
(see Fig. C, I). It detects movement of objects (people, cars, animals etc.).
T
he sensor can detect movement through objects or walls of wood, plastic,
concrete and brick, the detection range is reduced by half (dependant on the
material - see Fig. C., II).
#
The sensor cannot detect through metal objects, objects containing
metal or thick objects (see Fig. D).
