is an integral part of the product and contains important information

. Proper use
T
he Electronic Watchdog EW01 consists of main unit EW01A, remote control
E 01R and mains adapter.
W
T
he primary use of the unit is the simulation of a guard dog in order to deter a
potential break-in to property.
T
he unit is placed inside the property, next to the location to be monitored
(eg. front door, patio door) and it can be armed by pressing a button on the
unit or on the remote control. The sensor in the unit can detect movement on
the outside of the wall (eg. somebody approaches the front door) which
triggers the simulation of a barking sound. Alternatively a chime or a siren
sound can be generated. The siren sound can also be manually triggered by
pressing the panic button on the remote control.

he unit can be expanded with optional accessories. Up to 6 wireless
detectors (reed contacts to monitor doors or windows, or PIR-detectors to
monitor movement in rooms) can be enrolled into the unit. A second remote
control can also be added.
The unit is powered through the 12 V DC mains adapter which is connected
to 230 VAC, 50 Hz. To maintain operation in case of mains power failure 8 AA
size batteries (not supplied) can be installed. The remote control is powered
by a 3V CR2032 size button cell.

he electric watchdog is intended for indoor use within private households.
Any other use or change of the appliance is improper use. No liability shall be
assumed for consequential damage as well as damage which is caused by
improper use
or incorrect operation.
This appliance is not intended to be used by people (including children) with
restricted physical, sensory or mental capacities, or a lack of experience
and/or knowledge, unless they are supervised by, or receive instructions how
to use the appliance from, a person responsible for their safety. Children
must be supervised in order to ensure that they do not play with the
appliance.
