1) Lift the kettle off of the base when filling it!
2) Press the release button 1 and open the lid.

3) Fill the kettle...
4) First close the lid, then place the kettle on the base 4, so that it sits securely
on the base 4.
5) Now insert the plug into the mains power socket.
6) Push the ON/OFF switch

7) The light ring 6 lights up to show that the appliance is now heating.
8) As soon as the water is boiling, the appliance switches itself off, the
On/Off switch

RISK – ELECTRICAL SHOCK!
Never place the electrical base 4 close to water – this would be a
potentially fatal risk!
WARNING – RISK OF INJURY!
Always use freshly drawn water. Do not consume any water that has already
stood in the kettle for longer than one hour. Do not reboil water that has cooled
down. Always pour old water away. Microbes could have formed in it!
Always ensure that the ON/OFF switch
the mains plug is unplugged and the appliance is standing on the base 4.
Otherwise the appliance could heat up unintentionally as soon as the
mains plug is plugged in again.
When filling it, hold the kettle upright. This is the only way to read the
markings on the scale 2 correctly.

at least as far as the MIN mark (0.5 l) inside the kettle,
no further than the MAX mark (1.7 l) on the scale 2 so that boiling

water cannot spill out.
WARNING – RISK OF INJURY!
For safety reasons you should not open the lid when the water is boiling or
extremely hot. There is a risk of scalding.
3 clicks upwards and the light ring 6 goes out.
