2.3 Product description
Turbidity is an expression of the optical properties of a sample that causes light rays
to be scattered and absorbed rather than transmitted in straight lines through a fluidic
sample. In water, turbidity is often caused by the presence of matter such as clay, silt,
finely divided organic matter, plankton, other microscopic organisms, organic acids,
and pigments. Turbidity measurement is used to monitor processes that remove or
alter the concentrations of particles in solutions, such as in the production of drinking
water. These Lovibond
sensitivity that are expected of a laboratory turbidimeter with portability.
