2.1 Setting up the scales and start-up
For design reasons, these scales should be used only on level floors. If the set-up
location is in Germany, the flatness requirement is met if the floor is within the
tolerances for screeded floors defined in DIN 18202, Table 3, Row 4. For other
countries, please refer to the relevant national standards. If desired the scales can be
adjusted with the help of the supplied underlay plates.
Connect the power adapter to the scales.
Ensure that there is clear access to the power socket.
Note for version with recheargeable battery:
Before the initial start-up of the scales, the battery must first be charged for 5 hours!
During charging a blue control light flashes in the housing (this control light is found
on the side of 3710). As soon as the battery has finished charging, the LED stops.
Before using the scales the connections to the arm and foot rests or rails must be
checked to ensure they are secure.
The scales should only be used by trained personnel. It is not designed to be used by
the patient.
2.2 Operating the display unit Standard 3710
Turning on
Remove any weights from the scales and press the ON/OFF
button.
After the test routine is completed, the calibration counter appears
briefly and then the display switches to zero.
Calibration counter: no fault messages.
The scale is now ready for use.
Weighing
Either stand or sit on the scales.
The weight is displayed on the scales.
