Switching on and power setting

Th e cooking zones have 9 levels. In addition, there is a 'boost' setting,
which can be recognized by a 'P' on the display (see page 13; 'Boost').
1. Place a pan on a cooking zone.
2. Press the on-/off button
A single beep will be heard and on the display of each cooking zone
'0.' will appear.

Pan detection
If the hob doesn't detect a(n) (iron-containing) pan after a cooking
power has been set, on the display both the pan detection symbol
and the set power will both keep on fl ashing and the cooking zone
will remain cold. When no (iron-containing) pan is placed within one
minute, the cooking zone will switch off automatically (also refer to
pages 10 and 11; "Pans").
Residual heat indicator
If a cooking zone has been used intensively it will retain heat for
several minutes afterwards. As long as the cooking zone is still hot an
"H" will be visible in the display.
