t) FADER Start
When the FADER START button is lit, playback of the track from CH1 and CH2 through the CROSSFADER can
be started automatically.
• Press the button FADER START (35) to activate or deactivate this function. When this function is activated, the
button is lit.
• Push the CROSSFADER (34) from the left to the right stop or vice versa.
When the CROSSFADER is at the left stop, DECK 1 is played back. DECK 2 is in pause mode.
When the CROSSFADER is at the right stop, DECK 2 is played back. DECK 1 is in pause mode.
u) Headphone Preview
Use the CUE control (41) to set the volume of the headphones.
Turn the CUE control (41) to "MIN" before plugging in or unplugging the headphones, before put-
ting on the headphones or before switching the device on or off. There is a risk of damage to your
hearing through excessive volume at the headphones output.
Use the CUE FADER control (31) to adjust the signal ratio between CH1 and CH2 at the headphones output. Turn
the control towards the left to preview CH1. Turn the control towards the right to preview CH2. In the central posi-
tion, both channels are output equally on the headphones. Use the CUE MODE switch (25) to select SPL MONO
or STEREO during playback via headphones.
v) Switching Off:
• Interrupt playback by pressing the PLAY/PAUSE button (13).
• Turn off the amplifier and/or mixing desks that might be connected.
• Only then switch on the "IN THE MIX" DJ set with the power switch (1):

11. Anti-Shock Memory

The CD unit of the device is equipped with digital anti-shock memory. This reduces the risk of interruptions during
CD playback when the device is subjected to vibrations.
The anti-shock memory is loaded automatically when the audio data is read. The device needs a few seconds
until the memory is full to work optimally.
The saved data quantity corresponds to approx. 15 seconds of music playback. The anti-shock memory continu-
es to play the music in case of blows that would otherwise cause an interruption.
