a) Switching on the Player
• Turn the volume control of the connected amplifier down completely.
• Switch on the "IN THE MIX" DJ set with the power switch (1):
• Then switch on the amplifier.
b) Inserting a CD
Do not insert any damaged CDs into the player. The high rotational speed may cause it to crack and
damage the device.
Multi-session CDs are not supported. Only the first session is supported.
Never interfere with the motor-driven movement of the CD loading tray (24).
• Place a CD in the CD loading tray (24) with the printed side (label side) upwards. Always hold a CD on the outer
edge and avoid touching the surface of the underside. The CD is drawn in automatically.
• The CD is read.
• Then the device automatically sets the CUE mark at the beginning of music in the first track on the CD and goes
into pause mode. You can now start playback.
The CD cannot be ejected in play mode. This makes sure that the playback is not interrupted uninten-
tionally. Before pressing the eject button (19), stop playback.
The LED CD (51) is lit when no CD, CD-R or CD-RW is in the CD tray. However, this function is active
only when CD was selected as playback source.
c) Insert USB Memory
• Insert the USB storage medium into the USB input (38).
Due to the great variety of systems with USB interfaces and their different functions, some of which are
producer-specific, we cannot guarantee that all media will be recognized and that all the operational fun-
ctions are available on this device.
Only use FAT16- or FAT32-formatted storage media. The input securely supports external hard drives
up to a capacity of 320GB.
Switch off the "IN THE MIX" DJ set or switch to CD/SD playback to remove or replace the USB
storage. Never remove the USB storage from the USB socket during playback. This may destroy
the storage.
