14. Inserting / Changing the Luminaire
Let the casing of the surveillance camera and the luminaire cool off sufficiently before touching it and
replacing the luminaire. Otherwise, there is danger of burns! The luminaire and the casing of the
surveillance e camera will become very hot during operation.
CAUTION, danger to life!
The luminaire must only be inserted/replaced when the device is powered down. Otherwise, there is a risk
of potentially fatal electric shock!
Power down the mains supply by removing the associated electric circuit fuse or switching off the circuit
breaker. Protect it from unauthorized re-activation, e.g. with a danger sign. Switch off the associated
residual-current circuit-breaker so that the mains supply is disconnected from mains voltage on all poles.
Please observe that the service life of the batteries is only approx. one hour without mains voltage.
Therefore, change the luminaire relatively quickly.
• Open the cover (1) with the safety glass by loosening the screw (2).
• Remove the defective luminaire carefully. Do not apply any force; the luminaire may break; danger of injury! Use
suitable protective gloves if required.
• Insert a matching new halogen rod luminaire (max. 300 W) in the fitting.
Never use any luminaire with a higher output than 300 W. This would overheat the lamp and cause danger
of fire!
However, you may of course use a luminaire with lower output (if you do not require as much).
Do not touch the luminaire with your blank hands. Fatty residue on your fingers may otherwise cause the
luminaire glass to become matte/white in these places due as a heat effect. The material change may
cause the luminaire to burst!
Only touch the luminaire with a clean, dry, soft cloth or, e.g. a cotton glove.
• Close the cover again.
