b) Selecting the Warning Sound
• After selecting the operating mode in step 1 ("SC01" to "SC04"), briefly pressing
the button "SET" (14) will take you to warning sound selection. The display
indicates "Aud1"; see figure on the right.
• To select a warning sound ("Aud1" to "Aud4") or switch off the warning sound
("A0"), briefly press the button "UP" (15) or "DOWN" (16) repeatedly.
Please note:
If no button is pressed for about 12 seconds, the setting mode is
terminated automatically; the settings are not stored! The halogen lamp
goes out; the surveillance camera is back in standby mode.
When selecting warning sound 3 ("Aud3") or 4 ("Aud4"), any audio signal (or
spoken message) can be recorded via the integrated microphone (4). The
maximum recording time is 10 seconds. Proceed as described below for record-
ing.
• Briefly press the button "SET" (14) after selecting the desired warning sound. The
display then changes to selection of PIR sensitivity, see chapter 10. c).
Perform recording for warning sound 3 ("Aud3") or warning sound 4 ("Aud4"):
• Select warning sound 3 ("Aud3") or warning sound 4 ("Aud4") as described above with the buttons "UP" (15) or
"DOWN" (16).
• Keep the button "SET" (14) pressed until the display indicates "REC3" (after
selecting warning sound 3) or "REC4" (after selecting warning sound 4). Then
release the button.
The recording is started. The recording time is approx. 10 seconds.
The microphone (4) is above the camera. Speak clearly but not too loud, too keep
the recording from overmodulating.
Example: Speak the sentence "Attention! This area is video-monitored!" into the
microphone.
• Then the recording is played back for verification; the display returns to standby mode; setting mode is terminated
automatically.
The PIR motion detector is switched off for about 1 minute after recording. Only then will it be active again.
This is to enable you to leave the surveillance area without triggering a recording.
Since setting mode is automatically terminated after making a recording, you will have to start at step 1
again if you want to set sensitivity as well (see chapter 10. c).
Please observe that no warning sound can be recorded if the camera is currently recording!
