9. Setting Date and Time
This setting is required for the videos to be marked accordingly later. The date and time are integrated in
the video as an overlay graphic.
For each date, a separate directory is created on the SD memory card and the video files for the day are
stored in it.
The video files contain the time (e.g. "17075600" = 17 hours, 7 minutes, 56 seconds as fine name; the last
two digits are an internal ID code).
• Press the "SET" (14) button in standby mode (4 dashes on the display) until the
year appears in the display (e.g. "Y2010"). The halogen lamp may be activated
briefly.
If a video is currently being recorded, it will take a little longer for the year
to appear. Continue to keep the "SET" button pressed. Release the
button when the year appears.
When operating mode "SC04" is selected (see chapter 10), you cannot
set date and time! First change into another operating mode ("SC01",
"SC02" or "SC03").
• Set the year with the buttons "UP" (15) and "DOWN" (16).
Please note:
If no button is pressed for about 12 seconds, the setting mode is
terminated automatically; the data is not stored!
Therefore, ensure that you press the "SET" button repeatedly until the
standby mode is reached again (4 dashes visible in the display) (even if
you only want to set, e.g., the year).
• Briefly press the button "SET" (14); month and date are displayed ("MD"; in the
figure on top, this is 31. December).
• Set the month with the buttons "UP" (15) and "DOWN" (16).
• Briefly press the button "SET" (14).
• Set the date with the buttons "UP" (15) and "DOWN" (16).
• Briefly press the button "SET" (14); the time is displayed (in the figure on top, this is 23:59 hours).
• Set the hours with the buttons "UP" (15) and "DOWN" (16).
• Briefly press the button "SET" (14).
• Set the minutes with the buttons "UP" (15) and "DOWN" (16).
• Briefly press the button "SET" (14) to terminate setting mode and return to the 4 dashes on the display (standby
mode).
