11. Operation
a) General Information
• Re-check all connections and adjustments.
• Open the lid.
• Put a record on the turntable (2) If required, place a single-adapter (puck) on the turntable axis (4) to play
single records.
• Turn the POWER switch (6) to the ON position.
• Set the slide PITCH ADJ (14) to its centre position. In this setting the control clicks into place and for
DJ-2650D USB model, the LED display will additionally show a green PITCH LED (14a).
• Use the SPPED buttons (12 and 13) to select the speed given on the record (33 1/3 or 45 rpm). The selected
speed is then indicated by the LED display.
• Switch on the mixing desk or amplifier. Select the appropriate input to which the record player is con-
nected.
• Press the START/STOP button (7). The turntable (2) will begin to rotate.
• Disengage the support clip on the pick-up arm rest (15).
• Set the pick-up arm lift lever (16) to the "OPEN" position and swing the pick-up arm (11) from the pick-up
arm rest (15) and over the record.
• If operating in bad light press the locking button for the needle-light (10). The needle light (10) will raise
into position and switch itself on. To switch it off simply press on the needle light (10) and gently push it
into position.
• Align the pick-up arm (11) over first groove on the record.
• Lower the head using the pick-up arm lift by swinging the pick-up arm lift lever (16) forwards. The pick-up
arm (11) will lower itself gently and playback of the record will begin.
• Now set the volume on the amplifier to the desired level.
• If playback is to be interrupted, do not touch the pick-up arm (11) but simply press the START/STOP
button (7).
• To stop the playback or if the end of the record has been reached lift the pick-up arm (11) from the record
by levering the pick-up arm lift (16) (Open-Position) and then place the pick-up arm (11) back onto the
pick-up arm rest (15). Lower the pick-up arm (11) so that it can rest in a stable position on the pick-up arm
rest (15).
• Press the START/STOP button (7). The record player is then turned off.
• When yon have finished operation, switch off the amplifier first and then the record player using the
POWER button (6).
