Maintenance

Replacing the brake (fig. O)
Note: Worn brakes are dangerous!
Brake effectiveness may be reduced.
Inspect the brake for wear before each
ride.
If control of braking and/or the brake
effect deteriorates before the wear
mark is reached, the brake must be
replaced. Replace the brake as soon as
the wear mark (1t) is reached.
• Unscrew the brake pad screws (1n) on the in-
line skate (1) with the Allen key (3) provided.
• Take out the brake pad screws (1n) and
remove the brake pad (1l) from the brake
pad mount (1m).
• Reattach the new brake pad (1l) tightly with
the brake pad screws (1n) to the brake pad
mount (1m).

Interchanging the rollers (fig. S)

Interchange the rollers regularly, as shown in
fig. S. Regular interchange prevents roller wear
on one side.
Replacing the rollers (fig. P)
Important!
• Take note of the section "Technical
data": Rollers of a different diameter
can alter the handling characteristics
of the skates and in certain circum-
stances may lead to endangerment
of the user. For this reason do not
use the skates if the rollers cannot be
properly fitted.
Never re-fit larger rollers than the
original rollers of your inline skates.
• Please adhere to the following re-
garding the axle bolts: After loosen-
ing the screw connection you must
reapply self-locking varnish to the
screw threads! We recommend that
you always comply with this as a
safety measure. Self-locking varnish
can be obtained at DIY stores or from
your specialist retailer.
Rollers become worn. This wear is dependent
on many factors, such as the style of skate,
the ground, user size and weight, weather
conditions, roller material and its hardness. It is
therefore necessary to replace them from time
to time.
• Unscrew the axle bolts (1q) on the inline
skate from the frame (1p) using the Allen key
provided.
• Pull out the axle bolts (1q) and remove the
roller (1o).
• Re-fit the new roller (1o) into the frame (1p)
and attach it with the axle bolts (1q).
