Setting the gripping range
The gripping range adjustment must be set equally (synchronously) on both sides of the device.
Otherwise the load will hang at an angle when lifted and there is a risk of the load slipping. Danger
of accident!
The adjustment of the gripping range to the corresponding pipe outer diameter is done as follows:
1. Measure the outer diameter of the pipe.
2. Remove the hinged cotter pin (1) from the lower part (Fig. 2).
3. Pull out the plug-in bolt (2) (fig. 2)
4. Move the side parts (3) on both sides (synchronously to each other) until the required gripping range for the
material to be gripped (concrete pipe) is set (fig. 3).
Example: for pipe Ø 790 - 870 mm the number "7" (which is displayed in the inspection window Ø 79-87/7
(fig. 1.2)), then the number "7" must be visible on both side parts (fig. 3.1).
5. Reinsert the socket pin (2) (fig. 4)
6. Refit the folding cotter pin (1) (Fig. 4).
