External power supply
General remarks
The external power supply mode is used to ensure consumers have a power supply
when changing the battery (time, radio set-up, etc. are not lost)
Starting the
To start the external power supply, proceed as follows:

WARNING! Risk of explosion from short circuits and arcs. Before connecting
to/disconnecting from battery, disconnect charger from mains supply. During
operation, check that charging terminals are properly connected to the system
being supplied.
Unplug machine from the mains
Switch off engine and ignition, shed all loads
Switch on parking light (basic load)
Set current and voltage selector switch (Acctiva Classic) according to type of battery
CAUTION! There is a risk of damage to the in-car electronics if the incorrect
voltage is selected. Before charging, ensure that the „current and voltage"
selector switch (Acctiva Classic) has been set to the appropriate setting for
the system being supplied. The manufacturer shall not be liable for any
damage caused as a result of incorrectly selected switch settings.
Connect (+) charging terminal to the plus cable of the system being supplied
Connect (-) charging terminal to negative pole of the system being supplied, or to
the vehicle body (e.g. engine block) in the case of vehicle electrical systems
LED indicator „Charging battery/external power supply" lights up
Carefully detach pole terminals from the battery, the charger takes over the function
of the battery
Change the battery
Unplug machine from the mains
Disconnect (-) charging terminal from negative pole on the system being supplied,
or from vehicle body (e.g. engine block) in the case of vehicle electrical systems
Disconnect (+) charging terminal from the plus cable of the system being supplied
