9.5.1.1 Door adjustment
At delivery and during maintenance you should check the play in the door and how the door closes. In case of a
door that does not open and close smoothly, there are a number of measures that you can take. For instance:

You can adjust the door by slightly moving the door catches (see Appendix 2, fig. 10).
To do this proceed as follows:
Ø
Loosen the nuts a little.
Ø
Adjust the door catches.
Ø
Then re-tighten the nuts properly.
Ø
Check whether the sealing tape makes a good connection by clamping a sheet of paper between the fire and the
sealing tape when closing the door.
Ø
It should not be easy to pull out the sheet of paper. If necessary, adjust the door.
Is the door not properly sealed?
Ø
Replace the insulating rope (see appendix 2, fig. 9)
Ø
Adjust the door handle.
When replacing the cord, please proceed as follows:
Ø
Open the door.
Ø
Remove the cord and sealant from the gutter.
Ø
Apply a new layer of high temperature resistant sealant in the gutter that contained the cord.
Ø
Place a new cord in the gutter. Do this loosely, do not pull the cord tight.
Ø
Insert both ends of the cord in a special sleeve.
Make sure the sleeve is placed at the bottom side of the glass pane.
!Caution
When adjusting the door, please proceed as follows:
Ø
Slightly loosen the nuts.
Ø
Adjust the catches.
Ø
Then properly re-tighten the nuts.
Ø
Check that the sealing tape properly connects when closing the door by clamping a sheet of paper between the
appliance and the sealing tape.
Ø
It should not be easy to pull out the paper. Adjust the door, if necessary.
