9.1.3 Flue gas exhaust

The appliances described in this manual are supplied with a flue gas exhaust ring that can be turned around.
This will allow a connection with a diameter of 130 or 150 mm. At delivery, the appliance is provided with a
150 mm exhaust (see Appendix 2, fig. 5 and 6).
When turning around the flue gas exhaust (for a 130 mm diameter exhaust), proceed as follows:
Ø
Remove the flame baffle plate (see section 9.2.2).
Ø
Loosen the 2 nuts of the flue gas exhaust ring.
Ø
Remove the flue gas exhaust ring.
Ø
Loosen the three nuts of the 150 mm diameter flange.
Ø
Remove the flange (Ø 150 mm).
Ø
Turn the flue gas exhaust ring by 180° and then place it back.
Ø
Re-tighten the 2 nuts of the flue gas exhaust ring.

9.2 Interior lining

9.2.1 Vermiculite

The fire's vermiculite plates are located on the bottom and against the rear and side walls of the appliance
(see Appendix 2, fig. 8).
In the following situations the vermiculite plates must be taken out:
The bottom plates are removed first and the rear plates are removed last.
The insertion of the vermiculite plates takes place in reverse order.
Make sure the vermiculite plates are placed back in their original positions! The back plate, for instance, must be

placed with the small, not countersunk, holes towards the front.

9.2.2 Flame baffle plate

On delivery the flame baffle plate (see Appendix 2, fig. 7) is located in the top section of the appliance.
In the following situations the flame baffle plate must be taken out:
To do this proceed as follows:
Ø
Take hold of the flame baffle plate and push the right side upwards.
Ø
Slide the flame baffle plate over the ridge to the right.
Ø
Lower the left side of the flame baffle plate and remove the flame baffle plate.
Placing the flame baffle plate takes place in reverse order.
The stainless steel profile must be placed at the front with the screw heads facing the top (see Appendix 2, fig. 7).

9.3 Door adjustment

Check the closing of the door during installation or maintenance. The door can be adjusted if desired.
This will be the case if sealing is insufficient (gaps).

Check the sealing of the door by placing a sheet of paper between the door and the fire. After closing the door, it
should not be possible to pull out the sheet of paper easily. Check the outside of the fire.
For appliance-specific information concerning door adjustment, we would like to refer you to section 9.5.

When replacing the vermiculite plates.
during general maintenance;
when installing or changing the position of the restrictor tray;
during maintenance to the restrictor tray;
when turning around the flue gas exhaust ring.
