10. Inserting/Replacing Batteries
The power supply of the room temperature controller is provided only by two batteries
type AA/Mignon.
As already named in chapter 6, operation is possible with rechargeable batteries, but
not recommended because of the much shorter operating duration.
• Open the casing by swivelling the folding lid (1) forwards.
• Remove the battery compartment lid; it is only connected with a clip.
• Insert two type AA/mignon batteries with correct polarity into the battery compartment (6)
(observe plus/+ and minus/-), see label in the battery compartment.
• Replace the lid of the battery compartment again and close the battery compartment with it.
• If you do not want to programme (e.g. for initial commissioning), close the casing again by
swivelling the flap lid up.
• A battery replacement is necessary if the contrast of the display decreases or if no indication
appears on the display.
If the batteries are low, the display shows the battery symbol "
38
" to the left.
