12.4 Electrical connection
WARNING Electrocution
Carry out all electrical connection and installation work
in accordance with relevant regulations.
Material losses
!
The specified voltage must match the mains voltage.
f Observe the type plate.
The appliance is supplied fully wired (with a mains plug), but it is
also suitable for permanent connection.
12.4.1 Connection to a socket

!
The power cable must not hang in front of the air dis-
charge.
f Wind up any surplus power cable and stow it in the
cable compartment at the back of the appliance.

f Insert the power plug of the appliance into a suitable socket.
12.4.2 Permanent connection
WARNING Electrocution
In the case of a permanent connection, ensure the ap-
pliance can be separated from the power supply by an
isolator that disconnects all poles with at least 3 mm
contact separation.

f Trim the power cable so it leads directly to the appli-
ance connection socket.
f Ensure that, after trimming the power cable, the
appliance can still be removed from the wall without
a problem.

!
This appliance is unsuitable for fixed electrical cables.
f Trim the power cable by cutting off the plug.
f Connect the power cable to a suitable socket.
12.5 Removal
f Isolate all poles of the appliance from the power supply.
f Unscrew the locking screw from the appliance.

f Lift the appliance up to remove it from the wall mounting
bracket.
f To remove the wall mounting bracket, undo and remove the
fixing screws from it.
Note
f If you need to disassemble the appliance for repair,
follow the repair instructions for the appliance.
13. Commissioning
The appliance is ready for operation as soon as it has been fixed
to the installation wall and plugged into the mains.
f Remove the protective film from the programming unit.
14. Troubleshooting
To prevent hazards, the power cable must only be replaced (for
example if damaged) by a qualified contractor authorised by the
manufacturer, using an original spare part.
15. Appliance handover
Explain the functions of the appliance to the user. Draw special
attention to the safety instructions. Hand over the operating and

installation instructions to the user.
