8.7 Setting the alarm clock

1. Press and hold the "ALM" button for about 3 seconds.
This activates the alarm clock setup mode.

The current hour setting flashes on the display (1).

2. Press the button "+/CH" or "-/°C/F" to change the value.
3. Press the "ALM" button again to confirm your selection.
The current minute setting flashes on the display (1).

4. Press the button "+/CH" or "-/°C/F" to change the value.
5. Press the "ALM" button again to confirm your selection.
The current snooze time setting flashes on the display (1).

6. Press the button "+/CH" or "-/°C/F" to change the value.
Press the "ALM" button again to confirm your selection and exit the setup menu. The

new alarm time setting will be saved.
The alarm clock is now active, and the "Bell" symbol appears on the display (1).

7. Press the "ALM" button to display the set alarm time.
8. Press the "ALM" button again to enable or disable the alarm clock.
When the alarm clock is enabled, the display (1) shows the "Bell" symbol.

When the alarm clock is disabled, the "Bell" symbol is not displayed.

The setup mode ends automatically if no button is pressed within 20 seconds. The new
settings will be saved.

8.8 Switching off the alarm clock/using snooze function

To switch off the alarm clock or activate the snooze function, proceed as follows.
1. You can switch off the alarm clock by pressing any button (4) other than the "SNOOZE"
touch surface (2) on the top of the weather station.
This alarm clock is now muted and will ring again the next day at the set time.

2. Tap the "SNOOZE" touch surface (2) to activate the snooze function.
The alarm clock is now muted and will ring again after the preset snooze time.

Flashing "Zz" symbol on the display means that the snooze function is active.

Note:
With the snooze function activated, you can disable the alarm clock by pressing any but-
ton (4) other than the "SNOOZE" touch surface (2) on the top of the weather station.
The alarm will stop automatically after 2 minutes if no button (4) is pressed.

8.9 Displaying minimum/maximum values

The weather station records the minimum and maximum temperature and humidity readings for
a day. To display the readings, proceed as follows:
1. Press the "MIN/MAX" button.
The display will show the maximum temperature and humidity readings for 6 seconds.

2. Press the "MIN/MAX" button again.
The display will show the minimum temperature and humidity readings for 6 seconds.

3. Press the "MIN/MAX" button again to return to the default display.
Note:
The minimum/maximum readings are reset every day at 12:00 AM (0:00).
You can also reset the minimum/maximum readings manually by pressing and holding the
"MIN/MAX" button for over 3 seconds.

9 Displaying the indoor and outdoor temperature and humidity trends

The trend display shows whether the temperature and humidity have risen, fallen or remained
stable since the last measurement, enabling you to easily recognise changes in the indoor and
outdoor climate.
The device shows no trend when it is switched on. If a 1 °C temperature difference is

detected compared to the last reading or if the temperature rises by a total of 1 °C within an
hour, the display shows an arrow pointing upwards. If the temperature falls by 1 °C or by a
total of 1 °C within an hour, the display shows an arrow pointing downwards.
The device shows no humidity trend when it is switched on. If a 5% relative humidity differ-

ence is detected compared to the last reading or if the humidity rises by a total of 5% within
an hour, the display shows an arrow pointing upwards. If the relative humidity falls by 5% or
by a total of 5% within an hour, the display shows an arrow pointing downwards.

9.1 Weather forecast

Sunny
Slightly
cloudy
This function indicates the anticipated weather conditions. The display (1) shows slightly cloudy
weather by default when the device is switched on. The display shows the first weather forecast
after half an hour. It is updated every 30 minutes.
Cloudy
Rainy
Snowy
9.2 Frost alert
When the selected outdoor sensor is exposed to an outdoor temperature between 0 and
2.9 °C, the frost symbol flashes on the display (1).
When the outdoor temperature display for the selected outdoor sensor falls below 0 °C, the
frost and snow symbols are permanently shown on the display (1). The frost point symbol will
disappear after the temperature rises above 2.9 °C.

9.3 Low battery and battery change indicators

9.3.1 Weather station
When the batteries in the weather station are low, the low battery symbol appears on the dis-
play (1). All measurements will be lost after changing the batteries.
9.3.2 Outdoor sensor
If the battery level of the selected outdoor sensor channel is low, the low battery symbol ap-
pears on the display (1).
Because the outdoor sensor works with a security code (which allows simultaneous operation of
multiple similar weather stations), proceed as follows:
Remove the empty batteries from the outdoor sensor and insert new batteries.

Remove the batteries from the weather station.

Allow 10 seconds for the weather station display to switch off.

Insert the batteries back into the weather station.

This process deletes all data from the weather station and it must be reconfigured. If you do not
remove and reinsert the batteries into the weather station, it will no longer be able to detect the
outdoor sensor that has been given a new security code after the batteries have been replaced.

11 Transmission range
The weather station can receive radio signals from the outdoor sensor within a range of up to
100 metres under optimum conditions.
What is meant by this transmission range is the so-called "free-field range".
However, the ideal arrangement (e.g. weather station and outdoor sensor located on a
smooth, plain meadow without trees, houses, etc.) never occurs in practice.
The weather station is normally installed indoors and the outdoor sensor beside a window.
The actual range cannot be guaranteed due to various factors affecting radio transmission.
The range should be sufficient for use in a detached house.
If the weather station does not receive any data from the outdoor sensor (despite new
batteries being inserted), reduce the distance between the weather station and the out-
door sensor.
The range can be reduced considerably due to:
1
Walls and reinforced concrete ceilings

Coated/vapour-deposited insulating glass panes, aluminium windows, etc.

Vehicles

Trees, bushes, soil and rocks

Proximity to metal and conductive objects (e.g. radiators)

Proximity to human bodies

Broadband interference, e.g. in residential areas (DECT telephones, mobile phones, wire-

less headphones, wireless speakers, other wireless weather stations operating on the
same frequency, babyphones, etc.)
Proximity to electric motors, transformers, power adapters

Proximity to mains sockets and network cables

Proximity to poorly shielded or uncovered computers or other electrical appliances

3
Remedy
– Switch the outdoor sensor and weather
station off and back on (reconnect the
sensor).
– Make sure to use a fresh set of batte-
ries.
– Check that the channel is set correctly.
– Position the outdoor sensor next to the
base station for proper connection.
– Ensure that the outdoor sensor is
within signal reach (max. 100 m).
– Ensure there are no sources of interfe-
rence nearby (e.g. radio masts, wirel-
ess electrical devices, etc.).
Set up the weather station and outdoor
sensor in a suitable location (no direct
sunlight, away from heat sources, etc.).
Check the ambient conditions (see
section 15 "Technical data").
