Operation
5.1
System description
The reciprocating movement of the lever is converted to rotation of the screw by a bevel gear.
Depending on direction of the rotation of the screw, the plunger moves up or down. Lifting and lowering
is selected with the control slide.
The special screw thread means the jack is self-locking.
5.2
Control slide
In the "UP" position (Fig. 5) the plunger extends from the jack housing on operation of the lever.
In the "DOWN" position (Fig. 6) the plunger returns into the jack housing on operation of the lever.

Use
6.1
Before use
Check the equipment for completeness and damage. Do not use the equipment if it is damaged; in that
case contact the Holmatro dealer.
WARNING
Make sure you are up to date on all safety regulations and that you have mastered the use
of all equipment of the system you are going to work with.
6.2
During use
6.2.1
Place the jack under the load
•
Set the control slide in the "UP" position (Fig. 5).
•
Ensure that the bottom of the saddle is released from the jack housing before the jack lifts or lowers
the load.
•
Place the jack below the lifting point.
WARNING
Ensure that the load is sufficiently firm at this point and that the stability of the load is
ensured.
•
Ensure stable lifting of the load when selecting the lifting point(s).
Refer to Fig 4.

Position the jack in the middle of the load (1).

Make sure that the points where loads are transferred (2) are adequately strong.

Position the jack precisely vertical (3) under the load.

Position the jack on a stable surface (4).
6.2.2
Lift the load
WARNING
Never work under a load (Fig. 4/6) during lifting operations.
•
Place the lever in the hole on the ratchet mechanism.
•
Lift the load by moving the lever up and down.
