Advice on making ready for use in order to avoid pitching or entrapment:
Making Highwaykick 5 ready for use, first place it on a flat, even surface and protect it against rolling away with your feet.
Take the handle-bar and follow „2.1 Assembling handle-bar". Ensure the safety pin of the handle-bar is locked!
After that, follow „2.2 Handle-bar height adjustment" to fit your (childs) body size. Place the product again on a flat, even
surface to do so. Do not step onto the product while making any handle-bar adjustments! Ensure the safety pin of the
handle t-bar is locked and the secure clamp tightened (closed).
Description of the correct techniques for use:
To ride Highwaykick 5, first carefully read the SAFETY INSTRUCTIONS, WARNINGS NOTICES and CARE instructions.
Wear the recommended protective equipment! Then hold on to the handlebar grips with both hands. (Left hand left grip
and right hand right grip). Never ride with one hand or hands-free. Then step onto the platform with one leg and push off
with the other leg. Drive slowly, especially the first time. To stop and to activate the brake, apply firm pressure on rear
fender with right or left foot.

Important! Don't ride down steep paths or faster than 10 km/h (6.2 mph)!
The scooter brake becomes hot! Avoid direct contact with your skin after braking, as you may be burned.

Avoid applying the brake continuously for a long period.
Important! Whenever you're riding your Highwaykick 5 wear protective equipment like helmet, elbow guards, knee-
pads, wrist protectors and gloves and tighten the chin strap of the helmet. A fall without wearing protective gear can

lead to serious or even fatal injuries.
Don`t use in wet weather, the risk of accident and injury is much higher as your grip on the road, braking and visibi-

lity are impaired in rain.

Don`t ride your Highwaykick 5 at dusk, at night or when visibility is restricted - there is a greater risk of accident and injury.
Important! The self-locking bolts and other self-locking parts may lose their efficiency.

Children may only use the Highwaykick 5 in the presence of an adult.
6. CARE - WARRANTY
CARE - Do a regulary check on all screws to make sure they are thightend correctly. Oil the wheel bearings and joints re-
gularly. Also check on wheels and change them if neccessary. All spare parts available are to be found in section 3 and on
www.scootandride.com. After every use of Highwaykick 5 it should be cleaned with a wet or watery textile and undertaked
an optical control. Store your product in a dry and dust-free place.
LIMITED WARRANTY - The product Highwaykick 5 applies to the minimum staturory warranty of the particular country
on material- and productiondefects. During this time it is in Scoot and Ride's discretion if products are repaired or repla-
ced. This warranty is not covering defects originated in improperly use such as uncorrect assembling, careless handling
or common wearout.
WARRANTY ADJUSTMENTS - Warranty claim is solely coming into effective with proof of purchase. Due to that it is
absolutly nesseccary to keep your receipt. In case of warranty claim Scoot and Ride or the responsible dealer is deciding
if Highwaykick 5 will be repaired or replaced.
