4. SAFETY INSTRUCTIONS - to avoid accidents – act upon following safety instructions
Highwaykick 5 have been developed as sports equipment for children and adults with a maximum body weight of
80kg/176lbs and complies with the requirements of standard EN14619:2019 Class A, ASTM F2264, ASTM F963.
However, if small children ride the Highwaykick 5 we would ask their parents or those supervising them.
To ride Highwaykick 5, step with 1 foot (leg) and the deck surface and use the other foot (leg)
Check your Highwaykick 5 each time before you take it out and make sure that all the locks, levers, nuts and bolts
are securely tightened.
Check that the wheels are correctly attached and that there are no signs of wear. Make sure that the steering tube
is locked at the required height.
Always wear a helmet, wrist, elbow and knee guards, as well as shoes with rubber soles when you ride your Highwaykick 5.
Highwaykick 5 is using a feather break system.
To activate the brake, apply firm pressure on rear fender with right or left foot.
Don't ride any faster than 10 km/h (6.2 mph) and keep both hands on the handlebar.
Avoid excessive speed associated with downhill rides.
Avoid streets, roads and other places where there is traffic and keep away from other road-users.
Ride on smooth, paved surfaces away from motor vehicles.
Flat, clean and dry surfaces are suitable to use and wherever possible keep away from other road-users.
Pay attention on public highways and always follow the Highway Code.
Never carry a second person on board your Highwaykick 5.
Clean the Highwaykick 5 with a soft, moist cloth after each use.
You should also clean the bearings regularly using a soft, moist cloth and grease them periodically, exchange if
necessary. Do not use solvents.
Do not lean too heavily on the handlebars since this could cause the tube to bend slightly, thus preventing proper
operation of the scooter.
Check screws at least every 3 weeks and tighten them. Always use screw securing agent.
Spray movable of the twist mechanism at least every 3 weeks with some penetrating oil and wipe it afterwards.
Check steering set after about 4 weeks and re-adjust, if necessary.
Don't use the Highwaykick 5 on wet, oily, sandy, dirty, icy, rough or uneven surfaces. Never use it at dusk or night.
You should not change anything on the scooter itself as this could reduce the safety.
Self-locking connections may lose their ability and should be changed regularly.
Sharp edges should be removed immediately to prevent injuries.
Avoid doing stunts – ride your Highwaykick 5 according to your own ability.
Don`t make any modifications to your Highwaykick 5 that could endanger your safety.
Highwaykick 5 supports up to 80kg/176lbs.
Avoid sharp bumps, damage gates, and sudden surface changes. Scooter may suddenly stop.
Adults must assist children in the initial adjustment procedures to unfold scooter, adjust handlebar and steering to
height and finally to fold scooter.
Obey all local traffic and scooter riding laws and regulations.
Watch out for pedestrians.
Attention: If you keep loosening the axle screws, the screw locking devices will become less effective.
