If the appliance starts to
give off dark smoke, pull the
mains plug out of the socket
immediately. Wait until the
appliance has stopped smok-
ing before removing the fryer
pan from the appliance.
In case of fire, disconnect
the appliance from the pow-
er supply first. Do not use
water to extinguish the fire.
Use a fire blanket or a suita-
ble fire extinguisher to extin-
guish the flames.

Chemical additives in
furniture coatings may
corrode the material of
the appliance feet and
cause residue on the fur-
niture surface.
Place the appliance on a
heat-resistant surface if nec-
essary.
