2.5.2 Electrical connection

The electrical connection for the heating
elements can be provided with 400 V three-
phase current (Y) or AC, 230 V 50 Hz.
Connection with NYM is possible. The
number of leads and lead cores, and the
lead cross-sections, are dependent on the
connection value of the appliance and the
type of mains connection, as well as on the
special provisions issued by the electricity
utility company. Take note of the relevant
circuit diagrams.
If the appliance is connected to an
automatic charging control unit,
there is the possibility that voltage
will still be present at the terminals A1/
Z1 and A2/Z2, even if the fuses have been
removed.
Connection
The electrical connection leads are to be
provided with stress-relief if appropriate,
and are to be connected in accordance
with the electrical circuit diagram in the
appliance (on the inside of the right-hand
side wall) or in accordance with the circuit
diagram shown opposite.
If the angle plate located in the switching
area for accommodating the network con-
nection terminals is only poorly accessible
due to too little lateral clearance, it can be
pivoted forwards after releasing (not re-
moving) the screw located in the rear wall
during the connection work.
During the charging period, a volt-
age (230 V) must pertain at the „L"
terminal of the terminal block X2.
If there is no separate voltage supply
available for this purpose, the terminal
„L1" can be bridged with „L". In this case,
the terminal „N" of the terminal block X2 is
also to be bridged with the terminal „N" of
the terminal block X1 (only possible with
wall-mounted room tempera ture regula-
tors).
It is essential to ensure that the
protective conductor is correctly
connected.
Before being connected, the lead to
the connection of a DC control de-
vice is to be encased in an insulating sleeve
from the stress-relief point as far as the
connection terminal.
Actuation without heating contactor:
If it is not intended to install a heating con-
tactor (in part a requirement by the elec-
tricity utility company), the thermal relay
installed at the factory can be used.
To do this, either the electricity utility com-
pany „LF+N" signals or the „SH+N" signals

It is important that the room thermostat and
the weather sensing controller receive their
electrical supplies from the same protective
device that supplies the load.
When more than one supply is available the N
of the thermal relay must be connected to the
same N as the load, also wire 3 of connection
X10 should be moved from L to L1.
