Disposal
Mahr GmbH, MarSurf PS 10
Electronic devices, including accessories and used batteries (rechargeable
and disposable), must not be disposed of as regular garbage in line with
European Directive 2002/96/EC (WEEE). On the one hand, they are made
of high-value materials (iron, zinc or nickel) and on the other, depending
on the type of rechargeable/disposable battery, they contain concentra-
tions of harmful substances such as lead (Pb), cadmium (Cd) and mercury
(Hg), which usually far exceed acceptable levels for these materials. These
materials can be recycled and re-used to protect the environment and
resources.
The crossed-out garbage can symbol indicates that separate collection
is necessary.
Used rechargeable and disposable batteries, removal of which is de-
scribed in the user manual, can be disposed of at any time and free
of charge in the containers provided in store or at municipal recycling
centers. The poles on lithium-based rechargeable/disposable batteries
should be masked beforehand as there is an increased fire risk in the
event of a short circuit.
Mahr GmbH carries out the redemption and disposal of its electrical and
electronic products in accordance with legal requirements. Please contact
