Important safety information
This machine is equipped with safety features. Nevertheless, read and follow the safety instructions carefully and only use the machine as
described in these instructions, to avoid accidental injury or damage due to improper use of the machine. Keep this safety booklet for future
reference.
Danger
- Never immerse the machine in water or any other liquid.
Warning
- Check if the voltage indicated on the bottom of the machine corresponds to the local mains voltage before you connect the machine.
- Connect the machine to an earthed wall socket.
- Do not use the machine if the plug, the mains cord or the machine itself is damaged.
- If the mains cord is damaged, please contact the L'OR Barista customer care center via www.lorbarista.com/support to have it replaced by
Versuni or get assistance from qualified repair mechanics to avoid a hazard.
- This machine can be used by children aged from 8 years and above and by persons with reduced physical, sensory or mental capabilities or
lack of experience and knowledge if they have been given supervision or instruction concerning use of the machine in a safe way and if they
understand the hazards involved.
- Cleaning and user maintenance shall not be made by children unless they are older than 8 and supervised.
- Keep the machine, its accessories and its cord out of the reach of children aged less than 8 years.
- Children shall not play with the machine.
- Only use this appliance for its intended purpose to avoid potential hazard or injury.
- Do not insert a finger into the brew chamber to avoid injury. There is an invisible sharp piercer inside.
- Do not insert a finger into the brew chamber when closing the lever.
- Do not clean the milk frother in the dishwasher.
- Do not let water or a moist cloth come into contact with the connectors on the base of the milk frother and on the underside of the milk jug
- In the case of machines with milk frother, only use the milk frother in combination with this machine.
Caution
- Always contact the L'OR Barista customer care center via www.lorbarista.com/support for examination, return or repair.
- After unpacking the machine, never put your machine on its side. Always keep it in upright position, also during transport.
- Never put normal ground coffee or use torn capsules in the machine, as this causes it to get blocked.
- Do not use the machine in combination with a transformer, as this could cause hazardous situations.
- Always put the machine on a flat and stable surface.
- Do not place the machine on a hotplate or directly next to a hot oven, heater or similar source of heat.
- Do not place the machine in a cabinet when in use.
- Be careful when you remove the used capsule drawer. Capsules are hot immediately after brewing.
- Never let the machine operate unattended.
- Never use any accessories or parts from other manufacturers or that Versuni does not specifically recommend. If you use such accessories or
parts, your warranty becomes invalid.
- Never pour any other liquid than clean cold water into the water reservoir.
- Do not use the machine at altitudes higher than 2200 meters above sea level.
- Do not use or store the machine at a temperature below 0 °C. Water left in the machine may freeze and cause damage.
- Never flush the machine or let it brew coffee when the spout is not in place.
- Flush the coffee machine with fresh water before you use it for the first time. This causes the system to fill with water, which is essential for
the machine to work properly.
- Rinse the water tank and fill it with fresh water every 24 hours.
- LM90xx models (L'OR Barista Sublime): all parts of the coffee machine except the water tank are dishwasher-proof. You can clean the water
tank by rinsing it under a running tap.
- LM80xx models (L'OR Barista): all parts of the coffee machine, except the water tank and drip tray, are dishwasher-proof. You can clean the
water tank and drip tray by rinsing them under a running tap.
- Never use scouring pads, abrasive cleaning agents or aggressive liquids such as petrol or acetone to clean the machine. Simply use a soft
cloth dampened with water.
- Descale your machine regularly. The machine indicates when descaling is needed. Not doing this will make your machine stop working
properly. In this case, repair is not covered by your warranty.
