Operation
WARNING
Risk of injury by accidental triggering! A loaded fastening tool can be made ready to fire at any time.
Accidental triggering can endanger you and others.
▶ Always unload the fastening tool (cartridges and fasteners) whenever you interrupt work with the fastening
tool.
▶ Before all maintenance, cleaning and setup activities, always make sure that there are no cartridges and
no fasteners in the fastening tool.
WARNING
Hazard due to hot surfaces! The fastening tool can become hot in use.
▶ Wear protective gloves.
CAUTION
Risk of injury! If a fastener is driven and misses the beam, the fasteners in the magazine might be shifted or
slightly tilted. Consequently, there is a risk of injuries or of damage to the fastening tool.
▶ If a fastener is driven and accidentally misses the beam, replace the X-ENP nail strip with a new X-ENP
nail strip.
If resistance is unusually high when you insert the cartridge strip, check whether the cartridge strip is
compatible with this fastening tool.
Observe the safety instructions and warnings in these operating instructions and on the product.

6.1
Loading fastening tool (single-fastener tool)
1. Push the fastener into the fastener guide from the front until the washer of the fastener is held in place in
the fastener guide (1).
2. Push a cartridge strip, narrow end first, into the cartridge barrel (2).
▶ The cartridge strip is fully recessed in the cartridge barrel.
3. Cycle the fastening tool with the cycling grip.
▶ The fastening tool is loaded and ready for use.
6.2
Loading fastening tool (magazine)
1. Insert the strip of ten fasteners into the magazine (1).
2. Push a cartridge strip, narrow end first, into the cartridge barrel (2).
▶ The cartridge strip is fully recessed in the cartridge barrel.
3. Cycle the fastening tool with the cycling grip (3).
▶ The fastening tool is loaded and ready for use.

Description
Do not press the stud guide or the exposed piston against any part of the
body!
Pressing the fastener guide or the exposed piston against a part of the body (a
hand, for example) can make the fastening tool ready to fire. As a result, there
would be a risk of injury.
Do not pull back the magazine or other fastener guides by hand!
Pulling the magazine back by hand can make the fastening tool ready to fire. As
a result, there would be a risk of injury.
