REPLACING THE WATER FILTER
Water filter cartridge
The water filter cartridge is located at the bottom part of the
unit.
The filter cartridge should be replaced every 130 days,
otherwise water flow to the water dispenser or to the
icemaker decreases.
The water filter replacement alarm symbol lights up on the
refrigerator/freezer display after 130 days of use of each
installed water filter.
Changing the water filter cartridge
Turn the water filter counterclockwise and remove.
Insert the water filter – with the knobs at the front in a
horizontal position as far as it will go, and turn clockwise
until it snaps in.

After replacing the water filter cartridge
In refrigerator columns, run 2 gallons (8 liters) from the
water dispenser to remove air from the system. A newly
installed filter cartridge gushes and drips water until the air
is removed from the system. In freezer columns, the ice
maker may not immediately produce ice. First ice cubes
may be irregularly shaped. Discard the first bin full of ice to
allow air to purge from the system. A newly installed filter
cartridge gushes and drips water in the ice maker until the
air is removed from the system.
After changing the water filter, press SELECT button for 5
seconds to reset the alarm.
NOTE
It is normal for the first water and ice
released from the dispensers to appear
discolored. The color will return to normal
once all of the above procedures are
completed.
LIGHTING
To provide optimum interior lighting, LED strips illuminate
the refrigerator compartment from the top and sets of LED
lights directly illuminate different areas of the refrigerator
compartment, of the refrigerator drawers and the freezer
drawer.
In case of malfunction and/or wearing out of the lighting
system, repairs should be carried out by a qualified Service
technician.
