1. Technical data
Use for the intended purpose
WARNING
Use REMS Swing only for its intended purpose of cold pressure bending of pipes
up to 90°. Permissible materials: soft copper pipes, also thin-walled. Soft coated
copper pipes, coated carbon steel pipes of the press fitting systems, soft precision
steel pipes as well as composite tubes.
All other uses are not for the intended purpose and are therefore prohibited.

2. Start-up
Place the back former support (1) on the bender drive (2) so that the back
formers (3) for the desired pipe size are facing towards the rack (4). The back
formers are marked with the pipe size. Fix the back formers with the wing nut
(5). Select the suitable bending former for the pipe size (6) and fit it on the rack
(4). Press down the lever (7) in the direction of the arrow (8) and push back
the bending former (rack) to the rear stop. Release the lever.
Device for reverse bend Fig. 3 (accessory)
Place the bending former holder (10) on the bender drive (2) so that the holder
for the bending former is facing towards the rack (4). Fix the bending former
holder with the wing nut (5). Fit the back former support holder (11) to the rack.
Fix the back former support holder with the wing nut. Place the back former
support (1) in the back former support holder so that the back formers (3) for
the desired pipe size are facing towards the rack. The back formers are marked
with the pipe size. Fix the back former support with the wing nut. Select the
suitable bending former for the pipe size (6) and fit it on the bending former
holder. Press down the lever (7) in the direction of the arrow (8) and push back
the bending former (rack) to the rear stop. Release the lever.
3. Operation
Turn the back formers (3) so that radius on the back former corresponding to
the pipe size is on the side facing the bending former. Place the pipe between
the bending former and the back former. Push the lever (7) several times in the
opposite direction to the arrow (8) and push the bending former forward as far
as desired. Push the lever in the direction of the arrow (8) and push back the
bending former, if necessary with the bent pipe. Remove the pipe.
Bending to size Fig. 2
There are markings (9) on the top of the bending formers (6) which allow exact
bending to size. To do this, the dimension mark at which the 90° bend is to end
must be placed against the marking (9).
