Initial operation
Make sure that the connected loudspeakers and the amplifier are not overloaded. The playback
should not be distorted under any circumstances.
If distorted music signals can be heard although the volume on the amplifier has not been set
too high and the mixer has been set correctly, switch off the mixer immediately and check the
connection. If you can find no errors in the connection, please contact a specialist.
d) Pre-listening
Turn the CUE LEVEL control (3) as far as it will go to the left („0" position) before plugging in,
unplugging or putting on the headphones or switching the mixer on or off. Otherwise you risk
damage to your hearing through excessive volume from the headphone output.
•
With the CUE control (4), you specify which channel is output through the headphones.
In the position CH1, the signal of channel CH1 is played back, and in position CH2 the signal of channel CH2.
In the central position of the control, both channels are played back equally.
e) Cross-fading/mixing
•
You can use the cross-fader (8) to cross-fade/mix between the signals from the two channels.
•
When the cross-fader (8) is actuated, one channel is faded out (becomes quieter) and the other channel is faded
in (becomes louder) at the same time. In the central position, both fader channels are reproduced equally.
f) Using the DJ microphone
•
Set the input level for the microphone input with the control MIC LEVEL (2) as already described in "Volume
control."
•
As soon as you speak into the microphone, the microphone signal is mixed in with the output signal of the mixing
desk.
g) Playback from the computer
•
With the input selection switches (6), select the desired USB interface (USB1 or USB2).
•
On the computer, start playback via the corresponding playback software.
•
During playback, the USB interfaces are treated the same way as an analog audio input.
