d) USB/memory card mode
The device is equipped with a USB interface and a memory card reader. MP3 files stored on these media
cannot the played.
Do not connect an MP3 player operated with batteries with the USB interface. The power sup-
ply of the USB interface can charge the batteries and lead to overheating and even explosion of
the batteries.
You can plug USB media into the USB interface that have up to a maximum capacity of 32 GB
and a maximum power consumption of 500 mA .
Only USB data carriers can be used with the USB interface. MP3 player with a USB connec-
tion automatically switches to the PC mode when plugging into this connection. Playing music
is not possible in this mode. You can, however, connect the MP3 player's audio output to the
AUX adapter (19) any time.
SD and SDHC cards with a maximum capacity of 32 GB are supported.
Media have to be formatted in FAT or FAT 32.
Due to the great variety of systems with USB and SD card interfaces and their different functions
that are sometimes producer-specific, we cannot guarantee that all media will be recognized and
that all the operational functions are available in this car radio.
In case the storage medium can not be recognized, pull it out and plug it in again.
• Connect your USB storage medium with the USB interface (20).
• If you use a memory card, insert it into the memory card reader (21).
• The player switches to the respective input automatically and starts replay.
• The medium inserted last is always selected automatically.

The arrows on the buttons indicate the search direction (forwards or backwards).
• Only press the buttons briefly to jump to the next or previous track.
• Press the buttons longer to search a certain section within one track.

These buttons are used to select the folder on the storage medium.

If there are no folders on the storage medium, these buttons do not have a function.
