STEREO/MONO
STEREO:
The radio reception is in stereo.
MONO:
The radio reception is in mono.
If the reception conditions are poor, it may be beneficial to change the radio reception to mono.
The radio mode is more interference-free with mono reception.
This process takes some time because the tuner must switch internally. Wait after switching until
the process is completed.
LOC ON/OFF
ON:
Only stations with a very good field strength are received.
OFF:
All stations can be received.
In areas with many radio stations and good radio reception, it may be useful to switch the LOC ON
option on. This will skip stations that can only be received with interferences during scanning.
BEEP ON/OFF
ON:
An acknowledgement tone sounds when the button is pressed.
OFF:
An acknowledgement tone does not sound when the button is pressed.
TA SEEK/ALARM
TA SEEK:
When the radio has lost the traffic information, it will seek a new station with Traffic
Announcement coding.
TA ALARM: When the radio cannot receive the TA code any more, there will be an alarm signal.
PI SOUND/MUTE
Response of the device when you enter a transmission area where 2 different stations with different pro-
gramme identification (PI) use the same AF (alternative frequency):
PI SOUND: The radio switches to the new stations for a few seconds and then back.
PI MUTE: The new station is muted.
RETUNE L/S
RETUNE L:
When the radio does not receive traffic announcements any more, the auto-scan starts
90 seconds later.
RETUNE S: When the radio does not receive traffic announcements any more, the auto-scan starts
30 seconds later.
