H Capacity measurement
Discharge every capacitor before connecting it to
the measuring instrument. When short-circuiting
capacitors, high-energy discharges can occur. Take
care in areas where dust or inflammable gases, fu-
mes or liquids are present or can occur. ==> Risk of
explosion!
Do not touch the connections of capacitors with
voltage ratings over 35 VDC or 25 VAC. Caution,
danger to life!
Carry out no measurements on capacitors built into
circuits or parts of circuits.
For the measurement of capacitors up to 199.9 µF (200) max. pro-
ceed as follows:
1. Connect the black test lead to the COM socket and the red test
lead to the "HzOhmF
2. Set the rotary switch to "200 µF".
3. Connect the test probes to the absolutely voltage-free capacitor.
During the measurement of electrolytic capacitors, observe the
"+" and "-" polarities.
Disposal
If the Current Clamp VC - 602 does not function even with a good
9V battery or is no longer repairable, then it must be disposed of
according to applicable statutory regulations.
