Maintenance
•
Regularly check the water flow to the heat pump. A water flow that is too low and the ingress of
air into the system should be avoided, as this will reduce the performance and reliability. You
should clean the pool/spa filter regularly to avoid damage caused by dirty or clogged filters.
•
The area around the heat pump should be dry, clean and well ventilated. Clean the sides of the
heat exchanger regularly to maintain a good thermal exchange and save energy.
•
Regularly check the power supply and connecting cable. If the unit starts to function abnormally
or any of the electrical components smell unusual, immediately turn off the heat pump and have
the relevant components replaced.
•
You must disconnect the water flow to the heat pump, if the heat pump will not be in operation
for a long period of time. Always check all parts of the unit and installation carefully before start-
ing it up again. Please also read section 8. Winter preparation.
9.
Winter preparation
It is important that you disconnect the water flow to the heat pump in winter, when the heat pump is
not in operation, or when the ambient temperature drops below -12°c.
Water in the system, which freezes to ice, will damage the titanium heat exchanger. If this happens,
your warranty will be void.
We also recommend that the heat pump is covered during the winter.
If it is possible to keep the heat pump indoors during winter, then this will contribute to a long prod-
uct life.
