Cleaning
CAUTION!
❐ Make sure before cleaning the device that it is switched off and not connected to the mains
power! Remove the batteries.
❐ Do not dismantle the housing of the sewing machine.
❐ Do not use any caustic or abrasive cleaning agents to clean the device. These can damage
the surface.
•
Remove any fabric fi bres and remnants that may have collected using a fi ne brush.
•
If necessary, wipe the housing with a damp cloth and then wipe it dry.
Changing the Needle
Sewing machine needles are available in different sizes. Small needles are suitable for fi ne / delicate
fabrics and large needles for heavy fabrics. The needles which are supplied with the device are
suitable for average fabric strengths. If you want to sew a particularly tough or fi ne fabric, you
should purchase a suitable sewing machine needle and use it.
The needle must always be straight and sharp to ensure trouble-free sewing. Replace the needle
if it is bent, blunt or broken.
CAUTION!
❐ Make sure the device is switched off and the plug is pulled out of the mains socket. Take the
batteries out of the device before replacing the needle.
1. Bring the needle up to its highest position with the handwheel.
4. Hold the needle fi rmly and tighten the needle clamp screw.
CAUTION!
❐ After replacing the needle, fi rst only check in manual mode by using the handwheel whether
the machine sews neat stitches. Only activate the On/Off switch when the needle is in the
correct position and you have persuaded yourself in manual mode that the machine will sew
neat stitches.

2. Hold the needle fi rmly and loosen the needle clamp screw (15)
by turning it in the anticlockwise direction. You can now remove
the needle.
3. Insert the new needle up to the limit stop into the needle clamp.
The fl at side of the needle must be oriented towards the needle
clamp screw.
